Easy and very quick to prepare, garlic prawns will impress your friends!
Always use fresh prawns for this recipe never frozen ones.

 10 large prawns

COOK'S NOTES ON GARLIC PRAWNS
This is an ideal starter dish when served with crusty bread. It also makes an ideal tapas dish.

Make sure the prawns are shelled, head removed and deveined.

 Ingredients

 Fresh tiger prawns 10
 Sweet (bell) pepper Half
 garlic cloves 3
 Butter 30g / 1oz
 Olive oil 3 tablespoons
 Parsley to garnish 2 tablespoons chopped

PREPARATION
Pre-heat the oven to 220°C / 425°F / Gas Mark 8
Finely chop and crush the garlic.
De seed the sweet (bell) pepper and finely chop
Finely chop the parsley

METHOD FOR GARLIC PRAWNS

Butter and olive oil Place the butter, olive oil, garlic and sweet pepper in the serving dish and put in the oven for five minutes until the butter is melted.

Carefully remove the dish from the oven and add the prawns. Spoon the hot garlic sauce over the prawns so they are well covered.


Place the dish in the oven for three minutes. Remove from the oven and spoon the garlic sauce over the prawns again so they are covered once more. Return to the oven for a further four minutes or until the prawns have turned pink.
Serve garlic prawns hot with crusty bread and cocktail sticks if they being used as a tapas.
